International Greenfield Dholera Airport
7,500 hectares planned to meet increasing air traffic demand compared with Ahmedabad.
Location
Overview
Dholera, a place in Gujarat about 100 km from Ahmedabad en route to Bhavnagar, was an ancient flourishing port on the Gulf of Khambhat. The semi-arid land is now being transformed for industrial development. The Central Government is building Dholera Metro City on the DMIC corridor. Over 40% of the DMIC passes through Gujarat, and the 2014 budget allocated a US$500M preliminary corpus.
The Gujarat Government's investor-friendly policies and the SIR partnership with DMIC make Dholera one of India's most ambitious greenfield developments.
